    Βασικά αυτά που λέει για την βαρύτητα της Σελήνης είναι λάθος δυστυχώς…

    Χα… βρήκα και το σχόλιο….

    The moon comment is wrong. We don’t feel the moon’s gravity, because together with the earth we are in a freefall orbit around the moon-earth centre of mass. The same thing happens with astronauts in orbit around earth. On the other hand we feel the earth’s gravity on the ground, because the earth’s surface stops us from freefalling. And the tides that are caused from the moon, is a much weaker effect than the gravitational pull itself, but it is an effect that is present even in freefall.

    «freefall» is a result of gravity. When I «freefall» I feel gravity. We do feel the moons pull just like the ocean does. Not sure what you’re on about.

    Of course freefall is due to gravity, but when in freefall you don’t feel anything. When you are “falling” (in the general sense) in earth’s field for example, you don’t feel the pull of the earth. In principle, you could feel the difference in the force that is excerpted on your head when it is farther than the one on your feet, and that is the tidal force, but you don’t feel the net pull of gravity. You deduce it from your motion.

    To put it simpler, if you had an accelerometer while in freefall, it would register zero acceleration, no force on the test mass of the instrument.

    In order to have terminal velocity, you need to have a fluid to excerpt some drag. But then that is not freefall.
